Splashweb is a small business web agency run by Mark Ayres. I'm a web developer, webmaster and domain name specialist, providing web design, management and domain name services since the summer of 2000.
In short, I build and manage small business websites, supporting a number of clients with web design and web management, including Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), as a freelancer and through consultancy. I also maintain a number of in-house publishing projects. I'm located in the East Midlands, so can provide local support to businesses based in the Peterborough, Stamford, Oundle and Corby region. However, the remote nature of my services means that I continue to provide web services to businesses across the UK.
My Web Design service currently offers two packages, Standard (using the Wix.com platform) and Advanced (using Wordpress), both of which offer ecommerce upgrades. I also provide the essential ongoing maintenance and technical support, at a level to suit you, without a monthly contract, via my Web Management service.
Splashweb also have extensive experience in Domain Names (web addresses), so I'm well placed to help you select the best domain for your next, or future, venture; choosing the right domain name can have a significant impact on the success of a website.
I hold a portfolio of over 700 keyword rich .co.uk domain names, most of which are offered for sale on my dedicated website at Domain For Sale . Some of my premium domains are available for suitable businesses to partner with me. Combining my web expertise with partner products or service offering for lead generation or ecommerce partnerships on a pay as you go basis!

I came to the internet in the mid-nineties whilst living in New Zealand (Aotearoa) and was immediately excited by the technology and the fantastic opportunities it was going to offer us all. At that time I set up an ecommerce store, selling classic motorcycle parts worldwide, which over time helped grow the business significantly. I returned to the UK in 2000 to set up Splashweb.
I've always enjoyed technology, but this all seems a long way from having previously spent over ten years in the UK manufacturing industry, including being a time-served mechanical engineer at chronometer makers Thomas Mercer , and later, technical sales roles in industrial automation systems with ABB Robotics and Fanuc Robotics UK . I graduated with an MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Technology at Cranfield University (formerly the Cranfield Institute of Technology) in the UK.
